Mobile Me is it for Me?

I have been using .Mac service for almost a year now. It works great, with some quirky interface, and interface legacy of Panther age, it serve my need. I don’t have a broadband internet, backing up my system into iDisk is not for me. But i do save very important files to iDisk, and use iDisk file sharing.

In about one month .Mac will be sayonara, and welcome MobileMe. my .mac email address will be still accesible, and i get another email address @me.com. Sweet, just another email address that I’ve never used.

One thing that makes me excited is the new interface of .mac, opps.. Mobile Me. Apple designer has revamped the interface (or will be..). The interface is looks like a Finder inside Safari, and I expected it will be faster than .Mac.

For current .Mac users, will be switched to MobileMe service automatically. I was hoping for lower price than .Mac, but apparently it’s still a dream.

If you are looking for .Mac from Apple.com site, you won’t find it, .Mac already replaced with MobileMe.
